Race for the Cure - for the past several years the law firm has sponsored a team of staff members who give up their Saturday to take part in this worthy cause. While the female employees walk or run in this race, several male staff members cheer them on from the side lines as part of the Three Miles of Men.
Christmas Family - Each December the firm donates funds to be given to three families in need. Staff from each office meet together to determine who that family will be and they contact the family to see what they want and need to make Christmas a bit happier. In addition to the funds provided by the firm, staff members donate money or specific gifts for the families chosen. The staff members take their personal time to shop for food and gifts and then to wrap the gifts. Many families have presents under their tree and food on their table on Christmas Day because of the generosity of DLF and its staff.
Blue Jean Charity - If you walk into a Dickerson Law Firm office on any given Friday you will see the majority of the staff in blue jeans and tennis shoes. A donation of $5.00 per week entitles them to wear denim and at the end of each quarter staff members from each office determine what organization will receive the Blue Jean Charity funds. Recipients of these funds include: Jefferson County Humane Society, CASA of Union County, Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, HAITI Children's Relief Fund, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
